Somehow, at some point, "handmade" came to mean anything that a hand simply came into contact with while it was being made. That's fine for some folks. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ But if you're anything like us, you want "handmade" to mean a little something more. And that "something more" is that each cup, dish, mug, jug, or whatever-it-is made is completely distinctive and has all sorts of observable differences - those kinds that are inherent to the artist that made them. It's that feeling that you might not ever find another one like it.
